Goffs has confirmed the catalogue for the 2022 Punchestown Sale to be held in the winners’ enclosure after racing this Thursday. 19 four and five-year-olds will be offered including 18 with point-to-point form and one with race form.
Highlights include Matty Flynn O’Connor’s pair of winning four-year-old geldings, The Gooner and Wrappedupinmay, while Colin Bowe’s Flemensfirth filly Jenny Wyse may be the most exciting filly offered at the Punchestown Sale since Honeysuckle and, like the dual Champion Hurdle winner, she is catalogued as Lot 14. Among the standout five-year-olds are Heads Or Harps, a 16-length winner at Dromahane on Sunday for Declan Queally; the hugely exciting Dromahane winner Castleward from Colin Bowe; as well as Mellificent who produced an eyecatching performance to finish runner up in a competitive bumper on Easter Monday at Fairyhouse for Lorna Fowler.
