Sea The Stars Filly Tops Day 2 Of Goffs November Foal Sale At €155,000

Trade stepped up a gear at today’s second session of the Goffs November Foal Sale with strong demand for the choice lots on offer, headed by a trio of six figure foals and a top price of €155,000.

A daughter of Sea The Stars out of a sister to Sea Of Class (Lot 451 - pictured) topped proceedings when selling to Federico Barberini for €155,000.  Consigned by Oak Lodge and Springfield House Stud, the filly is a half-sister to two Stakes place horses in Italy.

Shadwell Estate Company struck for a son of Havana Grey from Pipe View Stud (Lot 354), going to €135,000 for the brother to this year’s Listed Rose Bowl Stakes winner and Group 3 placed Method.  Harefield Cottage Stud’s Mehmas colt (Lot 512) was another standout on Day 2, as the first foal out of a daughter of Stakes winner Sooraah fetched €130,000 when knocked down to Pier House Stud.

Other highlights of the session included a Teofilo filly from Boherguy Stud (Lot 530), an own-sister to the Group 2 placed Agitare and from the family of Gear Up, that sold to Baroda Stud for €90,000.  MAB Agency and Larry Stratton earlier went to €88,000 to secure a daughter of Saxon Warrior out of a winning daughter of Lily’s Angel (Lot 329) from The Castlebridge Consignment, while Manister House Stud purchased a son of Australia out of a sister to a Group 1 winner (Lot 301), consigned by Irish Emerald Stud, for €80,000.
