Finished 4th at Worcester on his latest start to date 21/07/21
P2P.ie Review: This son of Fame And Glory looked set to collect in his Punchestown maiden but was just headed in the closing stages by the Pat Doyle handled Dublin Calling close home. There were plenty of positives to take from this race, in particular the way in which he passed so many rivals during the course of the contest. He is a well-bred individual who is related to plenty of track winners and has plenty of ability which he is capable of translating to the track.
P2P.ie Review: Secret Scripture from the Donnchadh Doyle stable won his maiden on the final day of the season at Grennan. This son of Mount Nelson was never far from the pace, he jumped and travelled well throughout. He showed plenty to like, in particular his battling qualities when having to battle hard from the back of the last. He was pulled up on his debut at Lisronagh during the Autumn but he has clearly benefited from the extended break he was given and appeared to relish to underfoot conditions.
P2P.ie Review: Reserve Judgement got the better of a number of good-looking individuals by making a winning debut at Tipperary in April. Whilst he did benefit from a final-fence faller, the Ocovango gelding was running a very promising race in any case and he really hit the line full of running to prevail by five lengths. In recording that opening success in a big-field maiden, he returned in front of Donnchadh Doyle’s Kingofthewest, who had cost €65,000 at the 2019 Goffs Land Rover Sale, with a further length and a half back to the third horse, the Trevor Hemmings-owned Milan Bridge, who had a similar €65,000 price tag from the store sales.
P2P.ie Review: This strong sort by Imperial Monarch returned from a six month absence to win his maiden at Fairyhouse. He was always on the pace and was marginally headed by Blazing Yeats when he came to grief at the final fence. He idled in front going to the last which suggests he had more to offer when joined, allowing his rivals to get close. This good looking sort has some decent form under his belt having finished third to the progressive track performer Velvet Elvis on his debut, he then finished runner-up to Bold Endeavour subsequent bumper winner at Necarne in September. The likeable individual should do well for new connections over middle to longer distances in Britain.
P2P.ie Review: A recent winner of a Tipperary mares maiden where she had to battle gamely to hold the upper hand against the highly regarded runner up and debutante Gergovya. This winner has shown improvement with her racing and looks set to go on to become a real money-spinner for new connections. Her pedigree points to plenty of speed which should allow her to drop back in trip as required but her stamina is certainly not in doubt given the way she stayed the trip for her points success. This mixture will ensure she is a versatile mare that will have plenty of options open to her in the course of time. It is further notable and encouraging that the class of the front two mares saw them draw twelve lengths clear of the other mares in this contest.
P2P.ie Review: Gone To Texas caught the eye on his latest run at Grennan when finishing runner-up to the Secret Scripture. This was his most promising run to date having finishing fourth and sixth at Cork and Fairyhouse respectively. The son of Imperial Monarch was again ridden prominently but just couldn’t reach the eventual winner on the run-in when just beaten a length. He stayed on strongly from the before the last and showed a willingness to never give-up an attribute that will aide him on his future track career.
P2P.ie Review: This consistent daughter of Westerner has finished third on her latest two starts at Dromahane and Ballingarry respectively. She was ridden from the front when finishing third to the Goffs UK May Sales topper Happy D’ex at Dromahane, she was a shade keen on this occasion and ran better than than being beaten some 18 lengths into third spot would indicate. They changed the tactics on her most recent run at Ballingarry when she was held up off the pace. This four-year-old daughter of Westerner has areal hurdlers physique and looks a progressive type. She is out of a Dam who won a Chase at Cheltenham.
P2P.ie Review: This good looking daughter of Intrinsic finished runner-up on her debut at Grennan on the final day of the season. She put in a promising performance here, in particular the smooth headway she made to join the leaders three fences from home. She was in front for a time but was just headed approaching the last and was only beaten a length and a half by the more experienced mare Croi Corcra from the Colin Bowe stable. The Matthew Flynn-O’Connor trained mare will have suffered little in defeat and will gained plenty from the experience and looks one for the future.
P2P.ie Review: Etincelle Artiste showed plenty to like on his debut run at Kirkistown when finishing runner-up to the Tom Keating trained Crypto Currency. This son of Great Pretender was just one of two newcomers in the race, he did try to get involved towards the latter part of the back straight but was no match for the experienced winner who went on from two out. The tempo was notably slow for the opening mile and half before the pace was increased from fence eight. The Donnchadh Doyle trained individual will have gained plenty from his debut run and should perform well on his next outing.
