P2P.ie Review: Peggys Rock who finished third on her debut last season to the highly regarded Qualimita at Fairyhouse made her experience count when opening up her account at Toomebridge. This daughter of Mount Nelson went into a clear second four fences from home, a mistake at the next put her on the back foot but she picked up well from the second last to challenge the leader Kiltealy Park once again in the straight. A better jump at the last saw her take advantage and the pair rallied on well in the straight to deny the long time leader Kiltealy Park by a short head. This mare looks a game and honest sort who has shown plenty of progression and will have little difficulty translating her ability under rules. It is also worth noting the front pair finishing 22 lengths ahead of the third placed horse and clocked a time 10 seconds faster than the average on the day.
P2P.ie Review: This Mick Goff trained gelding, was last seen when finishing behind subsequent bumper winner I Will Be Baie at Taylorstown in 2022. The progressive sort put in a solid effort to finish second to the Colin Bowe trained Ridin Solo. This son of Masterofthehorse kept on well under pressure when left second approaching the straight and gradually reeled in the winner, but the winner picked up again on the run-in leaving Scout Master in runner-up spot, with the third finishing a further 12 lengths back in third. On the basis of this performance, he won’t remain a maiden for long and is clearly on an upward trajectory.
P2P.ie Review: This son of Ocovango made a very pleasing debut when running out a four length winner of this maiden at Toomebridge. This four-year-old was always close to the pace and he jumped his way to the front five fences from home. He was strongly pressed from the travelling well Tom Doniphon after three out but this gelding found plenty from pressure and a big jump at the last secured his victory. Caughtinyourtrance has many admirable qualities including speed and stamina and looks a sort to follow when he embarks on his career under rules. This well-bred sort traces back to the listed bumper winning performer Tetlami.
